NAC Orchestra is offering a new series of virtual workshops and concerts to spark creativity! 
​2020 has been the year of Zoom, FaceTime, and more. To engage and plan activities has been very hard on parents and this new series from the NAC in 2021 looks very promising. Let me know if you try it and what you think!

Music and Beyond is releasing 100 videos over 12 days starting on July 8th.  The festival will be releasing 50 videos in English and 50 in French.  A wide range of performers are participating in the videos.  

The videos will have three different main series:  Music and Nature filmed throughout the Canadian Museum of Nature; Music and Law hosted by The Right Honourable Beverley McLachlin, who will relate stories of the legal problems of some of history's great composers; and Music and Circus featuring Montreal's Cirque Fantastic.

Hi everyone! 

Over the past few weeks we have been practicing social distancing, save a few trips to the grocery store and walks outside. I definitely miss my students! I have had a few weeks of online lessons so far. It has been great keeping in touch with students and their families. We thought this would only last a few weeks but it does appear that this will be our new normal for a few months. I will be continuing to offer online lessons for the foreseeable future! 

To my current students - 
This is a stressful and strange time and I hope you are able to find some solace in your music. There is no need to feel pressure to get ahead, just focus on finding some enjoyment under the restrictions of the current circumstances! 

The National Arts Centre is offering free online livestream concerts! #CanadaPerforms is a relief fund for artists funded by the NAC and Facebook. I recently started piano lessons by FaceTime.  It's proven to be quite successful.  Let me know if you are interested in lessons if you live at a distance from me.  We can also use FaceTime for bad winter weather, or if you live down south in the winter.  

My first piano wine and cheese was a great success tonight. Love my adult students!! So much fun! Everyone played and shared their passion for music. Thanks to all the supportive spouses too! Looking forward to doing it again and adding music coffee afternoons. ​

Congratulations to all my students who performed at the June recital this past weekend.  Thank you for sharing your gift with others, you did a brilliant job.  I am so proud of all your accomplishments - Book Ends, RCM exams, school talent shows, Brockville Music Festival.  And thank you to the parents for including me as part of your child's music education.

Lisa was invited to perform last night at the Brockville Arts Centre.  She was selected by the adjudicators of the Brockville Lions Music Festival as a Star of the Festival and received an award!  I'm so proud of you Lisa and I know you worked hard to play so beautifully.
